5 Months Later...

It has been 5 months since Monty, Angus, Freedom and I were rescued from the Schinder Mill.  We have all had our challenges.. I wanted to share a couple of pictures with you of my friend Angus..

This picture was taken 5 months to the day of when the "Westie Rescue Alliance" saved us from our Hell at the Schindler Mill.

Here is another picture of Angus..

on the same day.. with our friend TOLA..  I just know you can see by this picture how happy we are!  If you look back and see the pictures of our first night.. it is an incredible difference.

XO Logan

  2. Yo Logan!

It's so great to hear how you're doing. And you've come such a long, long way in five months. Not just the distance from Missouri, but as a Westie who knows how to live free....free of the mill. Way to go, my friend. Mom and I are so proud of you!!!

Long time no see....sorry life got a bit crazy around here. Mom surprised me with a furry brother...but wow is he big! Mom says we're "fostering" by big bro....he's not like us. He's something called a chocolate Lab...but I licked him....he's not made of chocolate so I don't understand that. And he's creaky....he makes funny noises when he goes up and down the stairs or jumps on the loveseat. Mom says that's because he's a "senior"...and that I should be more gentle around him. But I'm not sure how to be gentle....after all I'm still a puppy. I don't understand being old.

Now I know how Tola and Holly might have felt. I've been trying to hide my toys so that he can't play with all of them. But Mom keeps dragging them out so we can "share" them. And last night I had to sleep in my crate....sheeeesh....that's a first....all because I bit his nose...and told him I didn't want him sharing the bed too. Mom says if she's more than willing to give up half the bed to a 100 pound dog, than I should be too...but I'm not sure about that. Maybe I'd be better with a smaller furry brother....but I'll have to wait and see...this one's only been here for a few days at this point. Oh yeah....and he's so quiet. What's up with that? He doesn't want to join the neighbourhood watch at the windows in the house. He doesn't want to say hi to all my peeps. Go figure!

Ok...time to go check out my peeps out the windows....while the big bro naps....although I may have to have a nap too...later.

Westie kisses to you, your parents, your foster mom and all your furry sibs...and hi from Mom and oh yeah....chocolate kisses to all too (Mom made me say that...hmmmm....guess I'll have to introduce him to you all...maybe.)

    Your buddy,
~ Ziggy ~ who has to get back on duty in front of the window

  3. Hi my pals! It is me Elvis. I got my name after I got out of the mill with you all but I am one of the Westie 24. Can you believe it has been almost three years since they came to save us?!? I now live in Kentucky and you may have heard of my brother before Preston from Prestospeaks.com. I also just graduated in the top of my training class (it was a long process). But I am so happy I finally got the home I dreamed about those four years at the mill. I hope things are going great for you all as well!

    love,
    Elvis
